Terry grew up about 40 miles away from Wanblee in Wall. Wall is the gateway to the Badlands and the home of the infamous Wall Drug Store. She also completed general studies and some Bible studies at Trinity Bible College. She is presently licensed with Assemblies of God and is still in the process of earning her degree through Berean to recieve her ordination. She is also pursuing an elementary education degree.
Pastor Gus was the Associate Pastor at Yankton Assembly and Terry was the Children's Pastor for two years under Senior Pastor Jeff Mantz. Gus and Terry moved to Mission in 1999 where they took over the Pastorate at Mission Assembly of God. In their 9 years at Mission Assembly they have built onto the church, doubling it in size and established a feeding program for the needy. The feeding program operates five days a week. They also have a food pantry that serves many homes with food boxes. They have a visitation team that ministers to the community in the comfort of their own homes. They have also established a childrens ministry that focuses on building relationships with local children by bussing them in for Bible study. During the summer they manage the Learning Center. There are four sections to the learning Center; math, reading, computers, and library.
